About Karambir
Hello, I'm Karambir! I graduated from Queen Mary University with a degree in Economics and have been tutoring for 4 years now and it's truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I've helped so many students achieve their academic goals year after year, and I know that YOU are more than capable of doing the same with the right help.
Having achieved A*s in A-level Maths and Further Maths I know exactly what you need to succeed. My teaching style is very simple, during our lessons we will cover topics that you are struggling on or have not yet gone over and focus on answering every type of exam question related to that topic. I like to make sure that all bases are covered by doing as many questions as possible so that you are best prepared for your exams.
As I mentioned before, I have been tutoring for 4 years alongside university on a private basis and have helped many students meet and exceed their target grades in Maths. I have tutored students who have gone on to achieve Level 8’s and 9’s in GCSE Maths and A*s in both Maths and Further Maths A-level. One example is my little sister who I tutored for 2 years and helped to achieve a Level 9 in GCSE Maths. For A-levels, I can cover all Pure maths topics as well as applied topics like Mechanics and Statistics.
I know that preparing for exams can be stressful especially when you must balance the workload alongside other subjects which is why I like to create a structured lesson plan for each student so we can cover the specification and have enough time to run through past papers before the exam season begins.

My lesson structure is quite simple but effective. After our first free trial lesson, I will create a customised lesson plan for future lessons based on the topics you are struggling with or have not covered yet. We will spend the first 30-40 mins of the lesson going over all the different types of questions you can get on that topic and showing you the method for solving them. After that, I will give you questions to answer to ensure you have understood the topic. I like to prioritise and incorporate a lot of past exam paper questions in my lessons to keep you up to speed with exam techniques and make sure we are ready for the REAL exams.

I have always struggled with maths and how to answer maths exam questions. After starting maths tutoring I have definitely improved and the questions are so much easier to understand. He is a really good teacher and explains everything really well. I understand the questions and maths even better now. I also feel like I enjoy doing maths whereas in the past I didn't.
