About Julia Mendonça
Student like you! Four-time medalist in the Brazilian Astronomy and Astronautics Olympiad (OBA), silver medalist in the Kangaroo Math Olympiad and gold medalist in the National Science Olympiad, I am currently in my sixth year of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
I have over seven years of experience teaching math at various grade levels. Because I'm part of an academic environment, I'm able to identify learning gaps and answer your math questions.
I teach all grades, from 6th to 3rd grade, and higher education in engineering and science. I employ a personalized methodology with authored workbooks and exercise lists designed to reinforce key elements of understanding.
And so, I guarantee that math in college isn't impossible! The problem lies in the foundation (tell me, how do you build a building without pillars?).

I understand the despair of not understanding anything about limits, derivatives, integrals, vectors, and matrices. But relax, I'll help you figure out university!
During the first class, we'll talk so I can understand your challenges and adjust the dynamics to be adopted. I then analyze the assessments already completed and conduct a test to get a sense of your level of mastery of the content.
During the remaining classes, I work on the logical-mathematical field of problem-solving through logical challenges, reflections and questions, including concepts that are fundamental to understanding the formulas.
I strongly advocate academic independence and teaching in such a way that you will no longer depend on memorizing the concept, but rather on understanding the formulas and being able to apply them to the most varied questions.
At the end of each class, I send a table of concepts covered that serves as a review and is created throughout the classes. In addition, if necessary, I create original handouts that serve as support material for the assessments to be carried out.
