About Anna
As the daughter of two math teachers, I have always had a passion for math and showing anyone they can do it. Nothing is more fulfilling than when a student says “oh yeah, I got this now,” or “you taught me that.” A simple statement which demonstrates tremendous impact. Over four years of tutoring experience has taught me how to successfully enhance the knowledge, and more importantly, understanding of each student I work with. I have had the tremendous opportunity to work with over 100 students diversified in skill level, knowledge, subject and age. It is not easy adjusting to so many different, individualized needs, but in that, I have found the skill set to help anyone no matter the level or background knowledge.

In tutoring, I like to teach students how to solve any related math problem, not just the ones given by their teacher. I know well the balance between teaching a student how to do a problem and guiding them to reach the answer on their own. I understand that everyone has a different way of thinking and am well trained in adjusting my teaching style to best fit a students needs and understanding. I am not afraid to take a step back and make sure a student has the foundation to succeed in their current subject area. My tutoring experience includes all levels of math from Kindergarten to Calculus along with college level math and Physics. I am open to tutoring in any Elementary math, pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (I & II), and Physics I. Everyone deserves the confidence that they can succeed in math, and I believe I can help students get there!
