About Rebecca
I'm a translator, writer and editor, originally from the UK and based in Brazil for nearly two decades. I'm a graduate of the University of Glasgow (2000), with a Postgraduate Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists, UK (2001) and I'm a TESOL Certified Teacher, Trinity College, London (1997).

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I offer conversation practice for people who already speak some English (Intermediate – advanced). My classes aim to help you improve your fluency, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and overall communication skills in English. I can also help you with IELTS preparation.
My classes are aimed at advanced and upper intermediate students who want to practice and get feedback to improve fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. These classes are especially good for people who enjoy cultural topics. In sessions, we will discuss texts, videos, song lyrics, poems, short stories, excerpts from novels, movie clips, etc., always with material from a variety of different geographical places where English is spoken. In the first class, I will analise your level of English and your specific requirements. I will then develop a plan to focus on the areas most important to you.
