About Sophia
As a student in highly advanced mathematics, who has been a tutor or teaching assistant for the past 5 years for a wide range of ages and math levels, I am more than prepared to tackle any questions that may come up. After taking classes, I've been personally asked to come back to help the next wave of students, but beyond that, I enjoy helping others understand complex topics. I can assist with any math course between a kindergarten level to a calculus two.

As a tutor I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple bite-size steps, aiming to ensure that my students understand WHY you do something in math: not just what. As a dual-enrolled high school student, I am very high achieving and equipped to assist with any level of math. Additionally, I have been tutoring for math for the past 5 years for ages ranging as young as 5 to as old as 16. I'm able to assist with math from kindergarten level to Calculus two.

Sophia went to the same middle school as me, and is pretty much the only reason I know everything I do about math today. I’m not sure why, but I used to always have trouble focusing when it came to math — I’d always come to sophia’s tutoring sessions afterwards, though, and, somehow, she just managed to make learning the lessons so easy! What took our teachers seemingly hours of reiteration only took Sophia about 10 minutes…Heck, she managed to bring my Pre-calculus grade back up from a 79 to a 94 in just ONE quarter!!! If I had to pick a professor that truly was super, I’d pick Sophia, any day of the week.
