About Erik
I’m currently a college student studying Actuarial Mathematics, with a strong background in calculus and analytical problem-solving. I understand what it’s like to be in challenging math classes, and I bring that real, recent experience into my tutoring.
I’m relaxed and easy to work with, but I care about results. My goal is to help students improve, build confidence, and actually understand what they’re doing not just get through homework.
You can expect a supportive, focused environment where questions are encouraged and progress is the priority.

As an Actuarial Mathematics major, I focus on helping students truly understand math, not just memorize formulas. My goal is to build strong fundamentals and confidence so students can solve problems independently.
Each lesson is structured and clear. We begin by identifying where the student is struggling, review the underlying concept in simple terms, and then work through guided examples and practice problems step by step. I also teach problem solving strategies that help with quizzes, exams, and AP tests.
What sets me apart is my analytical background and ability to break down complex ideas in a straightforward way. I work with advanced math regularly, so I understand how foundational concepts connect to higher-level material.
I tutor middle school, high school, and college students in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, II, and III. Whether you need help improving grades, preparing for an exam, or strengthening your understanding of core concepts, I tailor each session to your goals.
