About Kiya

Hiya, my name is Kiya! I am a working actor who recently graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I bring current, real-world industry experience into my teaching.

I believe this can help students gain an honest, practical understanding of the acting profession. Alongside my acting training, I am a classically trained singer with over ten years of vocal experience. I have skills in stage combat, which inform my physical awareness as a performer. This skill set allows me to support students in developing both their physical and vocal confidence in a structured way.

Navigating the industry myself, I am familiar with the process of building a career, including headshots, CVs, cover letters, and audition preparation. I'm able to guide students through these essential steps, helping them feel prepared as they move forward. I pride myself on creating a supportive learning environment. Whether you are exploring acting for the first time or seeking structured guidance at the start of your training, I can help you build confidence and provide practical insight into the industry.

About the lesson

I believe acting is a tool for building confidence and connecting with your most authentic self. Every student is unique, and I celebrate that individuality in my teaching. We'll spend time together in a professional and engaging environment, tailored to suit your personal goals. There is always time and space for questions or concerns, which are treated with respect!

Together, we will work to support the development of a more assured you.
