About Sydney
Hello, I'm Sydney. I am a professional acting coach, director, and former child actor with more than 10 years of experience training performers in the United States and internationally. My coaching is rooted in the Hagen and Chubbuck techniques and enhanced by my own Harper Method, which has helped hundreds of actors develop the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to succeed in the industry.
Throughout my career, I have coached working child actors, aspiring professionals, and students preparing for auditions at prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, RADA, and NYU. I believe great acting comes from a combination of technical skill, emotional truth, imagination, and discipline, and I work closely with each student to help them discover their unique strengths as performers.
Whether you are taking your first acting class, preparing for an important audition, or pursuing a professional career in film, television, or theater, I provide personalized instruction in a supportive and encouraging environment. My goal is to help every student grow in confidence, develop their craft, and achieve their individual artistic goals.

My teaching approach is rooted in the Hagen and Chubbuck acting methods and enhanced by my own Harper Method, which I have developed through more than 10 years of coaching actors in the United States and internationally. As a former child actor, I understand the unique challenges performers face at different stages of their development and focus on helping students create truthful, emotionally connected performances. Lessons typically include warm-ups, script and scene analysis, character development, audition technique, improvisation, and individualized coaching tailored to each student's goals.
What sets me apart is my extensive experience working with both aspiring and professional performers. I have coached hundreds of working child actors and have successfully prepared students for auditions and admissions at highly respected institutions including Juilliard, RADA, and NYU. My Harper Method combines professional acting techniques with confidence-building, storytelling, and practical audition skills that students can apply immediately.
My lessons are suitable for children, teens, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced performers pursuing professional opportunities. Whether a student is seeking personal growth, preparing for school auditions, building a career in film and theatre, or refining advanced acting techniques, I provide personalized instruction designed to help them achieve their goals.
