About Sandy
My Philosophy of Teaching
Teaching is my passion! I believe a good teacher, first, has a powerful faith in the future. My calling is to plant and nurture seeds that will grow and shape tomorrow.
A good teacher knows and understands students, and how they develop and learn. A good teacher must know her subjects and how to help students learn those subjects. I believe a teacher is the most powerful of role models. I try to treat all people with dignity and respect, and I expect my students to do so too. The teacher’s greatest gift to the learner is helping the learner be motivated to think, and then to want to learn more. My qualities as a teacher :
Be punctual.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Acknowledge my strengths and weaknesses.
Seek professional improvement.
Give my best effort.
Go beyond my job duties

Teach the student how to learn. As a tutor, my ultimate goal is to help the student become an independent learner. My students learn my teaching techniques very well, which sets me apart from other tutors.

I have completed my Bachelor in Economics and Bachelors in Education. And I have been teaching for the last 20 + years. I am a Certified teacher from the Oklahoma State Dept of Edu. And I am Certified in English, Geography, Govt, World History, US History and Economics.
