About Senna
I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry. My passion lies in the fascinating world of natural products and biomolecules. I’m especially drawn to the chemistry hidden in nature—secondary metabolites, natural dyes, flavours, and biologically active compounds that plants and organisms produce. In my sessions, I guide students through the processes of extraction, isolation, and structural elucidation of these natural compounds. We explore how simple leaves or roots can hold complex molecules with powerful effects. I enjoy connecting classroom chemistry with real-world applications found in medicine, food, and the environment. My teaching style is clear, hands-on, and curious. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and appreciate the story behind each molecule. Every compound has a purpose and a path, and I help students understand both. Together, we go beyond textbooks to uncover the chemistry nature has been creating for millions of years. I believe that every chemical process tells a story of change, and my goal is to help students see and understand that transformation clearly. I guide them through calculations with care, ensuring accuracy and confidence at every step. As a Cell Explorer and Biotech Dreamer, I bring energy and curiosity into lessons, especially when diving into real-world applications. Alongside core topics, I also explore the wonders of chemical reactions, their mechanisms, and the maths behind them. My lessons are designed to be engaging and supportive, with plenty of practice and tailored feedback. I focus on building strong foundations, so students can handle complex problems with ease. Each session is built around understanding—not memorising—so students truly grasp how and why reactions happen. I create a learning space where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated. I help students develop confidence and precision in their work. Together, we aim higher—toward exam success, scientific thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the dynamic world of Chemistry.
