About Shilpa
I am an Accounting student at UCT. I love using my experience as a student to help other students better understand how to approach their studies and to have a positive mindset.
I passed matric with 7 distinctions and never had any problems in my school studies, however university was quite different as it presented different challenges.
I have had courses where I excelled in and ones where I was "average" in as far as marks were concerned, so I know how it feels to be on either side of the spectrum. I am able to connect to other students through my experience of having been in their position and can guide them to better understand topics they were previously struggling with. I want learning to be as fun as possible, not a chore.

I help students by first preparing for whatever topic they need help with.
Once we start the session, I will identify the areas that the student is struggling with and make sure that I am able to fix the gaps in his/her knowledge before proceeding to the next topic.
We will also go through questions together to ensure that the student actually understands the principles and knows how to apply it in a test/exam situation.
