About Giovanna
I am an accounting student in the UK, and I have been tutoring for the past year, mainly in Arabic and in 11+ school entrance exam preparation. I got excellent results at both GCSE and A Level, and am very keen on languages - I have studied Arabic and Spanish in the past, am fluent in English and Portuguese, and plan to study French and Italian at university.

I have a problem solving approach to teaching - I first identify areas for improvement by testing students on the whole of the topic before focusing on individual topics which require more work. With exam preparation, I mix exercises directly based on topics on the specification of the specific exam with past paper questions and regular tests to maintain an accurate progress report. I prefer to give half hour classes as opposed to a full hour class, as I have noticed that the attention span of students is sharper if studying for shorter periods of time on a more regular basis, and it also has proven to aid recollection.
