About John
Hello! My name is John, and I am currently pursuing Accountancy at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. I have several years of experience tutoring IGCSE Mathematics (both Extended and Additional) for international students, including Korean and non-Korean learners. In the past, I have guided three IGCSE Additional Math students from C/B grades to A*, proving that consistent effort with the right strategy can lead to outstanding results.

I completed both the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme, achieving A* in IGCSE Additional Mathematics and 7 in IB HL Mathematics, Physics, and Business Management. What makes my journey unique is that I initially struggled with Additional Math (scoring around C/D) but eventually improved to an A*. This personal journey helps me truly understand students’ struggles and guide them with patience and practical strategies. I have taught several IGCSE students before, and all of them showed great improvement, many achieving A*.
In addition to Mathematics, I also teach Korean (my native language) and Accounting/Business subjects. Whether you want to strengthen your math foundation, practice conversational Korean, or build accounting knowledge, I can tailor lessons to your needs.
My teaching style focuses on clarity, step-by-step practice, and encouragement, so students not only learn but also gain confidence.
