About Yousuf
Hello! I'm Yousuf, a passionate Mathematics teacher with experience teaching Cambridge curriculum students, including O Level Mathematics. I believe that Mathematics is not about memorising formulas—it's about understanding concepts and developing the confidence to solve problems independently.
I chose teaching because I genuinely enjoy helping students overcome challenges and discover that Mathematics can be interesting and enjoyable. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student who once struggled with a topic become confident enough to solve difficult questions on their own.
In my classes, I create a friendly, supportive, and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without hesitation. I explain concepts step by step, adapt my teaching to each student's pace, and provide plenty of practice through worked examples, topic-wise exercises, and past paper questions.

My teaching approach is student-centred, interactive, and focused on building a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. I believe that every student can excel in Mathematics when concepts are explained clearly and taught at the right pace. Rather than encouraging memorisation, I help students understand the logic behind each topic so they can confidently solve unfamiliar problems.
During my lessons, I begin by reviewing previous concepts before introducing new material with simple explanations and real-life examples where appropriate. I then guide students through worked examples, followed by supervised practice and independent problem-solving. I regularly use past paper questions, topic-wise exercises, quizzes, and exam techniques to improve both accuracy and confidence. I also identify each student's strengths and areas for improvement so lessons can be tailored to their individual learning needs.
A typical lesson lasts **60 minutes**, although longer sessions can be arranged for revision, exam preparation, or covering larger topics. Each lesson includes concept explanation, guided practice, independent questions, and time for addressing any doubts.
I am an experienced Mathematics teacher with classroom teaching experience in the Cambridge curriculum, including O Level Mathematics. I have taught students in both school and private tuition settings and have experience preparing learners for examinations through structured lesson plans, regular assessments, and focused revision.
My lessons are suitable for students from **Grade 6 to O Level/IGCSE Mathematics**, including those who need extra support, wish to strengthen their concepts, or are aiming for top grades in their examinations.
