About Riyan
I am a 5th year medical student currently studying in the UK! Having had 2 gap years travelling and teaching English in Italy before starting university, I am used to setting up teaching lessons and doing my best to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
I am a firm believer in no question is a silly question and as someone who always asks the question everyone else is thinking, I know the value of clarifying a topic rather than hoping and assuming it will make sense later on. I want you to feel comfortable in my lessons to ask questions and give feedback on aspects that may or may not be working for you. Ultimately, I want you to succeed and however I can help you achieve that is my main motivation.

I am a firm believer in practice makes perfect. Whether that is going over a topic via different methods like general discussion with a Q&A style dynamic or interactive learning with quizzes or even exam style practice with thorough mark scheme explanation, I will break down topics into an easily digestible and simple format that will help you to grasp each concept with a good understanding.
You can expect lessons to last typically 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on the student’s needs and goals. I like to incorporate a mix of teaching methods, including visual aids, quizzes, and discussions, to keep lessons dynamic and tailored to your learning style. Ultimately I want you to walk away happy with the knowledge you have learnt and be confident in applying it outside of our sessions together!
