About James
I am a 4th year graduate medical student at the University of Aberdeen and a current mentor with In2MedSchool. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Neuroscience.
Through my time in Aberdeen, I have been able to develop my skills as an educator and I am passionate about helping upcoming students realise their full potential. I have 3 1/2 years experience mentoring students with their applications; in which time I have mentored 3 students on a one-to-one basis. 2 of my students went on to achieve Medicine offers and the 3rd is well on their way with the application cycle still ongoing.

My approach to teaching is flexible and tailored to the needs of my student. I am currently a tutor with In2MedSchool and have had great success mentoring students with their applications, particularly with their interview preparation. A typical lesson is structured to follow the MMI format of interview. I usually do 6 stations, 5 mins each, with time at the end for verbal feedback (which I also provide in a written format after the lesson). A lesson normally takes 1 hour but this can be tailored to meet the needs of the student.
