About Mbali
My name is Mbali Mgolodela, I am a 3rd UCT student majoring in Mathematical Science and Applied mathematics. I am doing this degree with plans of being a lecturer in the upcoming years. I was a tutor back in high school from grade 10-12. I enjoy helping those who struggle with understanding mathematics and helping them pass and reach their goal marks for tests and exams. Generally in mathematics, every topic you do correlates so if you do not understand one topic you will find your self lacking in other topics. What I try to do when tutoring is to make sure you are comfortable in other topics before focusing on the one you struggle the most in. It may seem like that is a waste of time, but I believe in doing that, I will get a lot of understanding on your weaknesses when calculating therefore, will able be teach you easier and simple ways of understanding mathematics.
I can teach in both English and IsiXhosa.
Students can come to me with specific topics that we can focus on. After teaching those topics and making sure that they understand, I will help them practice examples, a few tests and exam questions.
My lessons are aimed at all students, from students do not understand mathematics well and need help with the general topics, to the ones who do well but may need an extra hand on the harder topics and questions. My aim to to make sure that all students leave the tutoring session confident that they will do well in their tests or exams.
