About Magdalena
Hola! My name is Magda and I'm a current student at the University of Oxford studying Spanish and German. I'm also a Spanish tutor looking to help you get the best results in your GCSE or A Level Spanish exams that you could ever wish for! Or alternatively, to help you with an Oxbridge application for Modern Langauges.
Whether you're someone who has never quite clicked with languages in school, or a passionate student who wants to excel, I will do my best to get boost those Spanish skills higher. I will help with speaking, reading, writing and listening, as well as the A Level IRP and essay writing. And I aim to bring some fun into learning language (no matter how much you might dislike vocab lists and tenses tables).
Having got top grades in GCSE and A Level Spanish, I know the exam syllabuses well and can definitely help get those good marks.
I also offer an extra service for any A Level students wanting to do an Oxbridge Modern Languages application. I can help with personal statements, interviews and admissions tests.
Whatever your goals and ability, I look forward to working out how we can improve your Spanish together, in a way that is unique and enjoyable.

I believe the best way to learn a language is through enjoyment, but many students struggle to find this in a school setting, which is why I try to incorporate fun into the way I teach. My lessons are centred around the student, with my first step being to assess their needs and learning desires. Whether it's to have Spanish speaking practice, get to grips with tenses, improve Spanish writing skills, or a bit of everything, I like focus on these weaknesses to improve them.
A lesson would usually last 1 hour, and I may sometimes ask for a small exercise to be done for the next session. I can help specifically with the GCSE and A Level exam syllabus, but I will also use resources like Spanish-speaking songs and TV shows.
As an A Level student I tutored Spanish to other students from Year 7 to Year 11. I am also currently on a work placement teaching English as a foreign language to ages 10-17, which has given me a range of teaching strategies that I've learned from other qualified teachers.
These lessons are mainly aimed at students coming up to GCSE or A Level exams (Year 10 and above) and are for any ability.
I also offer further teaching for any A Level students wishing to make an Oxbridge application for Modern Languages. As an Oxford student, I have knowledge on what makes a good application, and I have experience helping others in this (i.e. personal statement, interview prep, admissions test prep).
