About Teodoro Furio
I am a bilingual mathematics student determined to teach this beautiful subject the way that most teachers do not.
I'm knew to tutoring in a professional manner, however it doesn't mean I'm knew to teaching. I've taught 3 old school classmates and helped them get through their exams, this is where i found that normal schooling fails sometimes. My first two "students" were preparing for their GCSE in maths, it looked bad for them, they were predicted D's and I could tell they didn't enjoy these types of subjects, this was a tragedy in my eyes. So from that point onward at lunch breaks I'd give them a helping hand, going through the basics again, but in a different way that suited them better. With the limited time i had, I was able to get them up to a B-.
My third experience was at college, my friend whom i shared a bus ride with every morning was taking mathematics, she wasn't doing good and she really didn't want to repeat the year. So every moment we got I helped her through the curriculum (which i also was taking) and i'm glad to say that she finished with an A.
If you also take into account the amount of help i gave to my class companions at college, both in maths and further maths, I'd like to say that I'm an adaptable teacher that given the right amount of time will get you where you need to go.

I aim to teach you how to approach a problem in a way that isn't methodical and "boring", but rather a way that looks at the fundamental characteristics underlying it, so that when confronted with a knew problem you'll always have the fundamental tools of problem solving at hand and won't rely on past examples to get through it. I want to do this because not only is it a useful skill to have but because it makes the process of problem solving actually enjoyable. To be good at a subject it's best to understand it not memorise it.
In the end I want to help you pass whatever exams you need to take but I'd love for you to walk away with a further interest in the subject.

If you cancel the lesson, please let me know a day in advance.I'll be attending lectures so theres little chance for me to be notified on the same day.
If an emergency that means you can't attend the lesson let me know before the lesson time and reason for cancellation, at a more convenient time.
If given the proper warning or due to emergency I'll be happy to reschedule the lesson, if given no notice or a fake emergency I will require to be paid for the time I lost.
P.s. please do not abuse the policy for emergencies, it's there to help people out so reporting false emergencies is only going to harm those with real ones.
