The way I teach is simple. I like to use relatable examples in everyday life, for example when teaching chemistry I use examples such as what happens when you bake a cake. For maths it's explaining the subject as well as giving multiple examples to work through. Biology is using funny mnemonic to help memorise cycles and stages.
