About Kamakshi
Hi , I'm Kamakshi. I'm currently a 3rd year Pharmacy student at University ! I chose to tutor because, as a student myself I totally understand the difficulties and stresses that come with learning and preparing for exams, especially with the jump from GCSEs to A levels and now to university. I've been through the challenges of having to grasp tough concepts and trying to keep up in a fast paced classroom environment whilst managing the pressure of achieving good grades. I believe that I can use my personal experiences to empathise with you as students and support you with some of the tips I have learned along the way !

I believe that building a positive relationship with students is crucial for effective learning.I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes. Furthermore since every student learns different, whether this is visual, auditory or hands on learners, I believe that by assessing their individual learning style will allow to adapt my teaching approach accordingly to be benefit the student , as since they are older students.by working along with them it will help to install in them more confidence in their own revision skills and techniques which they can continue to implement outside of lesson time. Also during the lesson I will break down any topics they are struggling in onto smaller more manageable steps , this I believes helps to make it less overwhelming.In my past experiences as a tutor I have found that students highly prefer and benefit from this method. Then at the end of the session I always to have a constructive feedback session whether that be 1 to 1 with the student or joint reflection with the parents and celebrate any progress. Celebrating progress helps to keep up the motivation and also reinforce their skills and confidence especially when they might feel stuck.Overall I.try to provide a a valuable session through encouragement being patient and flexible with their needs and try to achieve the students goals , the aim is to help them feel more confident with their revision and help them to achieve the results they want and are most capable of achieving.
A typical session would last for approximately 1HR and would be minimum once a week but would be happy to increase the frequency through the week as needed or closer to exams to focus on content revision and exam technique.
I have.been working as a tutor for the last 5 years at FCL formerly and explore learning currently. Within these I have helped children of varying ages from 4- 18 yrs old with their maths and English including 11+ and GCSE level to develop their foundational skills and also navigate through any areas tat they currently have difficulty with in school.
My lessons are currently aimed at GCSE LEVEL and students can choose which subjects to cover from: Maths ,Biology and Chemistry and Physics
