About Matt
I am a Second Year Mathematics student in Bristol who has never struggled with Maths until University, where I have been really academically challenged. Now I know how hard Maths can really be to grasp, I want to help students who feel stuck or discouraged by the subject, and show them that with the correct methods, anyone can do well.
I also put major emphasis on maximising the students understanding, and always encourage students to tell me as soon as they do not understand a question, or one of my explanations, so that I can explain in an alternate way. This avoids confusion from the very beginning, encouraging consistent and stronger understanding throughout all of the content studied.

Having studied both maths and further maths at a GCSE and A Level just very recently, I am very familiar with not only the content involved, but also the exam technique necessary in getting lots of marks that lots of students miss.
I am adaptable in my teaching approach, offering multiple explanations when appropriate and have had previous success with multiple GCSE students, obtaining grades higher than they ever thought possible.
I typically advise 1 hour long sessions, as they’re optimal for attention span, and I teach GCSE higher, foundation and anything below. I myself achieved 9s at GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and A* and A for A level Maths and Further Maths respectively.
