About Liv
Hi, my name is Liv and I am a 2nd year Biomedical Science student at Cardiff University with a passion for all things science.
Having recently completed A levels myself, I understand the challenges students face and the techniques needed to succeed.
I enjoy helping students develop confidence and not only improve grades, but help students to genuinely understand the material and enjoy what they're learning!
I have experience in many roles from educational video design, lifeguarding, coaching and caring, all of which have helped me develop essential skills such as communication, reliability and patience, as well as a genuine love for tutoring. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, having fun learning and making mistakes.

I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts by breaking them down into simple explanations, memorable analogies and visually descriptive examples.
My aim is to make lessons interactive, accessible and tailored to each student's learning style.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and is tailored to the student's goals. Lessons may involve reviewing difficult topics, working through exam-style questions, improving exam technique, or revisiting fundamental concepts to strengthen understanding. I place particular emphasis on applying knowledge to exam questions, as this is often where students gain the most marks.
I have experience supporting GCSE and 11+ students as well as coaching children as an assistant swim teacher, meaning my lessons will be suitable for any ages interested in building their confidence and success in science, whether it's GCSE or A level
