About Rayan
Hi, I'm Rayan — a passionate and results-driven tutor who believes that learning should be both effective and enjoyable. I’m currently studying Engineering at Monash University, and I tutor VCE Mathematical Methods and Business Management, as well as Years 1–10 Math and Humanities. My approach is all about helping students understand the content deeply — not just memorize it — so they feel confident tackling any problem. I’m friendly, approachable, and always aim to create a comfortable learning environment. With younger students, I take the time to connect over shared interests like soccer, basketball, and hanging out! Which helps make lessons fun and something they look forward to. For older students, I keep sessions focused, structured, and exam-oriented while always being supportive and easy to talk to and bond with. Teaching Style & Methodology
I offer both 1-on-1 and small group sessions, tailored to each student’s learning style.
For VCE students, lessons are primarily online — this allows me to use my iPad for interactive learning, screen sharing, and efficient visual explanations. While many prefer in-person tutoring, I’ve found this online method far more effective for deep understanding and engagement.
However, for younger students, through experience I've seen that they work a lot better in person, with less distractions and more simplicity, I focus on building strong foundational skills, helping them understand core concepts in maths and humanities, and developing good study habits for long-term success.
Lesson Structure
Lessons typically run for 1 hour, balancing focus and effectiveness without overwhelming the student. I also offer multiple sessions per week upon request.
Qualifications & Experience
Maths: Helped students go from failing to above average. For example: Bailey who went from below average marks to 75-80% marks in just a few months. Completion of VCE Maths Methods and VCE Specialist Maths with study scores of 35 and 38 respectively. Current monash engineering student
VCE Business Management: A+ exam result; experience helping a wide variety of students go from below average to achieving their study goals. For example Vy, who worked with me from the start of the year achieved a 40+ study score in the subject effectively and confidently
Who I Tutor
VCE Students (Years 11–12): Online preferred and more efficient, tutoring in Math Methods and Business Management.
Younger Students (Year 10 and below): Preferably in-person to support the student as much as possible, teaching in Mathematics and Humanities, with a focus on building strong study habits and core skills.
