About Shannon
I graduated from Edinburgh Uni in 2015 and went on to work in a rural mixed practice for 4 years. I have been in my current job since 2019, working in first opinion equine and large animal practice.
I started studying towards my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Internal Medicine in 2021 and I have nearly completed all of my online modules.
I found vet school to be a big jump up from secondary school in terms of the amount of information that I was required to learn. I found that applying this knowledge to practical and real-life situations helped to cement it into my memory.

I found condensing large amounts of material into information that I could use, to be incredibly difficult during my years at university. It was only when I applied the theory to practical situations that I understood things in a different way and I was able to make sense of the disease processes.
I am very happy to go at your pace and try to break everything down into a more manageable bite of information with my experience of the real life application of the knowledge.
