About Greg
Current Secondary Maths teacher and private tutor, I enjoy making a difference to people - in this case helping them to gain the grade they need to move on to the next stage of their life adventure!
So many people find maths tricky but need their GCSE, maybe at a higher than average grade and its satisfying being able to help 'fill in the gaps' in their knowledge and skill so that they can achieve this.
I have done this successfully over a number of years.
I like working with students who want to learn and be successful. I find having a sense of humour always helps too!

I believe that tuition can be made too complicated. It should focus on the topics/question styles that you need help with to ensure that you receive the most effective support as quickly as possible and so best return on your time and money. We will confirm/identify the things you need to work on first so that we can do this.
My approach aims to boost your performance and confidence right from day 1. That is rather than a series of 'general' lessons that may lack the focus and relevance to your school studies and be quickly forgotten.
The tuition should compliment the work you are doing at school and my sessions are designed to achieve this first and foremost through the method explained above.
As well as learning initially, I also offer techniques for retaining and revising your knowledge so that you know how to prepare for assessments and final examinations properly in a clear and simple way - all vital to your success.
Putting it all together, as you start seeing yourself grow in belief and ability many students start to actually enjoy their maths even though the words "enjoy" and "maths" some people think shouldn't be in the same sentence!!
