About Cindy
I have a MEng with Distinction from Cambridge, 4A* at A Level, and 13A* at GCSE. When applying to Cambridge, I prepared for interviews, admissions tests etc. thoroughly by doing extra problem solving questions.
I had a part time tutoring job during my A-Levels. I have volunteer tutored with schemes like CTI and Zero Gravity. I believe plenty of students are underperfoming due to lack of attention, not because - as unfortunately they often believe - they lack the innate talent or mental capacity. It brings me joy to be able to help people do the best they can!

My main techniques depend on what each person's goals are. If your goal is to pass an exam, we will go through past papers and I will examine how you approach answering questions - especially 'explain' type questions. Being the only student in my cohort to get an A* in physics A Level, I know the game of exam technique. I also relate to experiencing potentially poor teaching due to lack of availability of teachers.
If your goal is to be pushed beyond the scope, or to prepare for interviews (physics and engineering only), I think it's good to build a very strong foundation for problem solving, drawing from various university textbooks. I am very happy to give interview preparation and other application advice for Oxbridge admissions.
