About Sammy
Hi, I’m Sammy! I’m currently on a gap year before going on to study BSc Geography at university. I’ve always enjoyed learning and helping others, which is why I’m passionate about tutoring Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. I achieved Grade 9 in Chemistry and Biology GCSE, Grade 8 in Maths GCSE, and went on to study Biology and Chemistry at A-Level, achieving an A* in Biology. Having recently gone through the same exams myself, I know the challenges students face and the best strategies to overcome them. I also have experience helping my younger sister with her studies, which has given me a strong understanding of how to explain tricky concepts in a simple and patient way. Seeing her progress and gain confidence inspired me to start tutoring. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand explanations and helping students develop effective study techniques. Whether you're looking to build confidence, improve your grades, or simply enjoy learning more, I’ll tailor my approach to suit your needs and learning style.

Sammy is my sister who is in the year above me at school, through GCSEs she helped me understand topics and concepts which I was having trouble with, walking me through questions, and gave me exam and revision advice that without which I wouldn’t have been able to achieve the grades I did. I went from getting 30-50% in yr 9 to getting 7 9’s at GCSEs thanks to her help and the time she put in to get me back on track. For my first year of a levels she has continued to help explain anything I couldn’t understand and and has enforced the importance of keeping on top of work and revision as the year goes on, thanks to her I’m now going into year 13 confident that I can get the grades I need in a levels (including an A in biology)
