About Christina
I knew I wanted to be a teacher in 2nd grade, and a math teacher in 3rd grade. I got my degree in mathematics and later became certified to teach. I have worked with all types of populations: in a treatment facility, small district public schools, charter schools, international private schools, and virtual in large public schools! I am so passionate about education and I believe our system needs a change! I love being able to build confidence in people not only in their math, but grammar.... I love grammar, too. =)

I LOVE math! Most people think they are not good at math or not a "math" person but I believe you can be! I believe a common problem in schools is that students lack the true understanding of why. I think they are taught what to do instead of understanding why they are doing it. I have been teaching for the last 11 years in all levels from 6th grade to 12th grade. I have been a math teacher or a special education teacher in the math classroom, either way, math is me! I strive on being able to teach all concepts at least 2 to 3 ways in order to get you to understand it. I am tech savvy so don't let the computer get between us! I will help you build you confidence in math if you just give me a chance!
