About Samantha
I have been teaching Spanish for seven years and working with students with disabilities for the past 10 years. I am a very patient and compassionate person who believes in creating the most positive work environment and experience. I learned to speak Spanish living abroad in Spain where I studied in two immersive programs. I have a passion for language and culture which makes me an extremely understanding of others from different backgrounds.

Being a native English speaker, what I love most about teaching Spanish is relating to my students from an English-speaking perspective. It is crucial for my students to understand the basics of Spanish from someone who knows how their brain is working to navigate acquiring a new language. I love to make my lessons fun, exciting, and relatable. I specialize in teaching for the New York State FLACS exam for students in 8th and 10th grade!
