About Maria
Hello future students,
My name is María and I am a certified Spanish teacher from the beautiful Costa Rica. I am now based in San Francisco, CA and looking for dedicated students to teach and improve their Spanish language skills.
I am a recent graduate with Spanish certification, from the Institute Technologic of Costa Rica. I am dedicated to constantly improving my methods as a teacher and bringing the best personalized learning curriculum for each student.
I believe that learning could be a process we can all enjoy if we put our heart into it. I can’t wait to meet you all and guide you in your process of learning Spanish.

I believe a good way to learn is with games and fun activities because this gives students more confidence, allowing them to learn with less pressure and less stress.
First I would focus on understanding the student, to get a better understanding on the students’ learning techniques, and then I plan activities accordingly. I believe this sets me apart because each student is different and they need personalized learning curriculum instead of a generalized class.
My classes are for people who are planning on learning Spanish as a second language, or for people that need tutoring in a specific Spanish course.
