About Susie
I have just finished my first year studying Chemistry at Durham University. I am tutoring maths and chemistry up to A-level standard. I have A*s in both subjects at A-level, as well as A* in A-level Biology and 11A*s at GCSE. I have experience tutoring students of all ages and abilities and can offer coaching towards 11+, GCSE and A-level examinations. I have previously tutored online, in my neighbourhood and in school.

My teaching methods cater to the needs of each student. I like to teach a topic from first principles through a mixture of verbal and visual explanations according to how the student learns best. I then get students to try and work through problems they may encounter based on their specification in school. I will help them where necessary until they feel fully confident answering questions they are likely to find in class or in examinations. At the end of each lesson I will summarise what we have covered and ensure the student has a concise set of notes on any new material. At the beginning of the next lesson I will revise the topics covered in the previous lesson and ask the student to try and explain the key concepts to ensure they have acquired a really thorough understanding.
