About Desiree
I attended Ventura College after high school and graduated with two AA’s. It had always been a dream of mine to work with children any way I can. I myself had some trouble throughout school just like most students. As I worked hard eventually I became successful insubjects of school and even started getting on the honor roll list since elementary school! I enjoy being of help to students, the best part is seeing them happy they are up to speed with school work.

I have worked with children at schools from grades K-8th for 5 years now. I have had positions from After School Program Leader, Teachers Aide, and of course Tutor. I enjoy working with children of all ages and love to see students succeed in all aspects of life, and school work is one of the most important. I will work with you until you succeed!
Teaching methods include:
- One-on-one tutoring for maximum understanding for the student.
- Teaching new content by drawing from real life experiences.
- Forming a connection with the student to ensure that learning is fun and interesting.
- Trying different approaches to find one that is optimal for the student.
