About Tina
My name is Tina and am an avid learner. I love reading and learning new skills. Throughout most of my professional career working in both the legal and educational fields, I am usually in the role of mentor. I work very hard to make sure my students feel safe and comfortable with me so they can learn in the most optimal way they can, have fun while they are doing it, and learn that it's ok to make mistakes because I believe it is not until we make a mistake that we actually learn.

I try to develop individual lesson plans for my students to fit their needs and their style of learning.
Depending on the student's needs, a typical lesson plan might be reading a passage from a book they have chosen and then discussing underlying themes, answering questions or writing an essay. I try to layer and combine skills as much as possible.
I have a Bachelor of Education focusing on kindergarten through Grade 6, a Certificate of Teaching English as a Second Language and two other undergrad degrees in Law and English. I also have diplomas in Project Management and Interior Design.
