About Caleigh
I am a qualified engineer in the UK, currently working towards my Canadian Engineering status. I have a Masters degree in Civil Engineering and have worked for General Contractors since I started studying. This has allowed me to learn engineering concepts first hand, in the field and in the classroom.
I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for STEM subjects and finding interesting ways to teach.

I believe that with enough imagination there’s a practical purpose to everything. With 10 years of industry experience I have come across many examples and scenarios where what seemed like pointless and useless concepts in the classroom have come into play!
If you can understand the real world purpose of concepts, the battle has almost been won. The why drives the how. If I can make a concept interesting, lessons are going to be much more enjoyable and effective. I am known to go to great lengths to ensure concepts are understood and learnt, from explaining using diagrams, photos and drawings to using stories, examples and scenarios.
