About Alex
I have over 10 years experience teaching. Outside of my teaching experience I am a trainer for one of the world's largest companies—I’ve successfully brought people new to a technology company to a place where they’ve been promoted multiple times. With my language instruction I have 3 certifications across two languages and also yoga. I’ve worked with all types of students of all ages and backgrounds. I also make my lessons fun and relevant to my target audience. I’ll be able to teach you language as well as culture and idioms specific to Latin American countries and Spain.

Hi there, I learned Spanish as a second language and moved to Spain where I lived 5 years to perfect my newfound second language. I have since also learned a 3rd language (Portuguese). I am certified in teaching English as a second language and C2 certified (native level) in Spanish. As I was able to teach myself Spanish as a second language and go through formal classes I understand how complicated learning it can be as an English speaker. With my background in teaching English as well I can make Spanish and English grammar make sense to all ages and all levels. Part of being really good at your second language is fully understanding the intricacies of your native language. My ability to dissect and fully break down English and Spanish will help you learn faster and more efficiently. I am also versed in multiple Spanish dialects as I’ve lived 5 years in Madrid but also traveled throughout North, Central, and South America. I’ll instill confidence in you that will have you conversing effortlessly without stress!
